Mr. T brought his BKT craving to Singapore, hence, the choice.
As compared to other food outlets, this place was empty.
… And it’s no surprise why it wasn’t filled up. Balestier BKT served pepper soup with a few ribs in it and the braised pork trotter tasted of only dark soy sauce. Despite its great service, the food was disappointing compared to KL’s BKT. The only thing I enjoyed was the bowl of braised peanuts (SGD 2.50).
For a set of pork ribs soup, braised pork trotter, 2 bowls of rice, 2 glasses of overly sweetened, artificial flavoured barley, and salted vegetables, it costed us SGD 18.80 – that’s about RM 45 for a substandard BKT.
