Outdoor Japanese BBQ. With oink oink. What is there not to like? ;)
It’s not really difficult to find this open-air stall. Just don’t go around Faber Tower trying to look for it because it’s not there — instead look for Public Bank in Taman Desa. Assuming PBB is on your left, drive further down until you see the last shop in the row (of PBB). Park your car, get down, walk past the last shop and there you are, Gerai Makanan Japanese BBQ.
Prices here are not steep but that’s because the portions are small.
We had Genghis Khan, which consisted of lamb cutlets but there were more bones than meat. Quite a disappointment compared to what I saw in pictures from other food blogs.
As soon as we finished the lamb pieces, we barbecued our pork belly and beef brisket. If you prefer (like me), let it cook for some time ’till the meat becomes like bacon.
I really liked the Japanese Risotto, which basically was stewed rice with egg. Mmmm!
Mr. T & I are thinking of coming back the next round with a bigger group of friends. Will skip the green tea and go for beer instead.
