The folks over at Jin Yi know Await Cafe and recommended us to head over for a cuppa.
I dropped by to see what they brewed on a Sunday noon with a friend.
I liked the simplicity of the cafe but there weren’t enough tables to fit a large group.
Brazil Santos (syphon), RM 11 & Kiba Flip tea, RM 8
I was struck by the name of the candy-like flavoured tea (as how the barista described it) so I had a cup. It was a fruit infusion tea that emitted a strong aromatic smell. I love fruit teas but this one did not make it to my ‘like’ list.
Chicken Ham Sandwich, RM 9
The sandwich was ultimately yummy. The bread was fresh & they used good quality cheese, which really made a difference to the sandwich considering there was no sauce in it.
Fresh Vege Salad, RM 6
Just a reminder: this cafe’s main purpose is to serve excellent coffee so do not expect an extensive menu with food items.
Await Cafe is located on the first floor in the the row of shops behind Ficelle and is opposite of RT Pastry House. If you fancy a good cup of coffee on a lazy noon, this is the place to go.
